1. What is considered Bulk Non-Metal?

Any item not made of metal that is too large for a normal garbage can. An example would be: furniture, large rugs, plastic children’s yard toys etc. This collection is not meant to take the contents of a home. 

Please secure a dumpster for more than a few items.

2. What is considered Bulk Metal?

Any item that is mostly metal and is too large for a normal garbage can. An example would be: appliances, lawnmowers, grills etc.

3. When is my recycling day?

Recycling takes place on every other Thursday for the whole town. Please see the recycling schedule or call 732-828-2100, ext. 136 for more information.

4. How do I dispose of grass and garden waste?

Grass and garden waste need to be put out in cans on your garbage day. During the busy seasons of Spring and Summer collection may take a few days.

5. When are Leaf Bags available?

Leaf Bags are usually available during the first few weeks of October. Leaf bags are for leaves only. They need to be put out on your garbage day for collection.

6. My garbage was not collected, what should I do?

Read about what you should do to make sure your garbage gets collected:

• First check the size of your can. By ordinance your garbage can must be no larger than 45 gallons. If your can is too big it will not be emptied. 
• Second make sure you do not have recycling (cans, bottles, cardboard etc.) mixed in.
