Dinner-Dance to Aid

Emanuel Cancer Panel


The Independent Order of Odd Fellows will sponsor a Dinner-Dance

7 p.m.-midnight Feb. 11

at East Brunswick Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 485 Cranbury Road.

 

Proceeds will benefit the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation, an organization that offers support and counseling for New Jersey families with children who have cancer.

The event will feature dinner, dancing, music by a DJ, door prizes and more.

Tickets cost $30 per person. Guests are asked to bring canned goods or other nonperishable food items for the Emmanuel Cancer Food Bank.

The Women's and Junior Women's Clubs of the Greater Brunswick Area will be hosting Eugenia Pankow from the March of Dimes. She will speak to our group about the organization and ways the public can help, especially with the March of Dimes Walk. That night we will be collecting various supplies for expectant moms on bed rest.
 

Mothers who are placed on hospital bed rest for weeks at a time are in dire need of supplies. They can use personal hygiene supplies, crossword puzzles, nail supplies, body wash, body lotion, up to date magazines, and books that will bring a mother comfort while waiting for the birth of her child.

Our Lady of Lourdes School, Milltown, will host a “Benefit Day” fundraiser at TGIFriday’s Restaurant on Route 1 South in North Brunswick on Thursday, February 16, 2012, during regular hours, 11:00am to 2:00am.

 

TGIFriday’s will donate 20% of each check (eat-in or take-out) to OLOL.

All proceeds support Girl Scouts with a portion of the profit directly benefiting Troop 80037. These funds are used for various programs, financial assistance, council resources, community projects and travel.

The Milltown Recreation Department offers an exciting program to Milltown School Age children, in grades K-8th at both Parkview and Joyce Kilmer Schools for all working Milltown parents!

Students meet in the All Purpose Room every day in each school and will be provided with a snack & juice, receive help with homework and participate in a number of activities including, Arts & Crafts, games, sports, music enrichment programs and much, much more!

 

BEFORE SCHOOL CARE

Girls Lacrosse

 

The North Brunswick Lacrosse Program has invited Milltown to join them in their winter clinic for Girls 2nd thru 8th Grade.

Tuesday nights - 8:30 pm-9:30 pm at Linwood Middle School - main gym.
These clinics will run through February and are FREE.

It is a chance for girls to come and try out Lacrosse and see if they may be interested in playing Spring Lacrosse with North Brunswick.
